In the search for reality you come across many things, some that are simple, some old, some new, some that are eye-catching, in colour or in monochrome, visible things and some hidden from view, some things with sense and some without. Just like some of words you’ve read right now.
Surreal moments are born out of this. @Oleksandr Hnatenko

Let me know your background. Name, age, your native city etc.

I was born in August 27th 1986 in Zolochiv, Ukraine. With 15years moved to Austria (Vienna), where i studied photography, now im living in Germany.

Are you a student? What do you study?

For last 2 years i was working as proffesional photographer in Vienna.

How do you describe your photographic style?

Must of the times the “surreal photography” with OH! effect will be the right one ;)

In general, during a session, how many pics would you say you take to find “the right one”?

You need at least one life to find the right one. I shoot as long as I can, its not about the number of pictures, but more about the time that you spend with some special scene and people… sometime I need only some minutes to get the right one… some time more hours.

What is your mostly proud photo?

I love all my children.

What lighting equipment do you take on a shoot?

Sun is the best one. I always try to use natural light.

What is your favourite photography accessory, other than your camera?

My hands and nice faces. Fancy lenses with apperture around 1.4

What makes a good photographer in your opinion?

A big black camera. Its the answer that I give people who ask me about that.
I have some friends who are good photographers, and mostly its a passion about photography and life which make them good.

What quick advice do you have for someone who simply wants to improve their photography skills?

Buy a pair of good and fancy shoose, listen to fine musik, and visit good photoexhibitions and your photography will improve automatic.

And the last question, if you had one wish…

I have more than one ;) best time to speak about wishes is in some of good old cafes in Vienna.
See you there!
